A fresh start in a foreign shore
Vedic Teas was set up a long time back in Canada by Aastha’s family and over the years, it has grown to become one of the most trusted tea brands. Aastha decided to take her family brand forward by launching it in a foreign land where everything had to be built from scratch. After completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Biotechnology, she did an MBA and worked in the corporate sector for a few years. At the age of 32, she joined her family business.
Aastha came to UAE in 2018 and in 2021, she launched Vedic Teas here. From company establishment, getting clients to setting up the supply chain, it was one crazy ride that was made fun and rewarding with ample support and guidance from family & friends.
The journey has been rewarding and super exciting so far. The owner explains “Within the first few months of starting my business, I was pregnant with my first child. It was one interesting ride where I had to set up everything, right from logistics to business to sales. As momentum picked up, I was on a maternity break. Team Vedic Teas did a stellar job of maintaining the business while I was away.”
Now in 2023, business is back in full swing alongside plans of expansion in terms of product portfolio, team size, and geographical locations. Aastha points out “Back in Canada, we have 350+ blends. In the UAE we have 15 but soon we’ll launch all portfolios here as well.”

Veering into a new horizon
Aastha is pretty clear about her company’s immediate goals. “I want to make Vedic Teas a brand that’s preferred by all food distributors across Middle East. Besides product portfolio expansion, I want to enter into the premium luxury brand space.”
The goal is to create a unique product portfolio with refreshing and sumptuous flavors. Astha is confident of setting up a store in the next few years. “Yes, the plans are big but so is my support system and my faith in God. I’m sure with God’s blessing and support I will accomplish that.” says
